The KCCA runs 7 competitions for all degrees of playing strength. These are:-

County Cup  an open competition for teams of 6 in which there are no grading limits.

Lewis Cup  – teams of 6 with an average grading limit per team of 170

Stevenson Cup – teams of 6 with an average grading limit of 155

En Passant Cup  teams of 6 with an average grading limit of 140

Harvey Cup  teams of 6 with an average grading limit of 125

Tom Fuller Cup –  teams of 4 with an average grading limit of 110

Intro Cup – teams of 4  with an average grading limit of 95

During the preliminary rounds to facilitate travel the clubs are divided into 2 areas, Metropolitan and Mid/East Kent The preliminary rounds are played between September and March.  The top 2 teams in each tournament then play semi-finals against the winners and runners-up in the other area.  The winners of the semi-finals then play in finals which are usually played in May at an agreed venue.
